Green Shipping Corridors (GSC) enable testing, proving and scaling new technology and solutions, accelerating decarbonization and uptake of sustainable zero-carbon marine fuels. The Fuel Transition Roadmap for Nordic Shipping, developed in Phase 1, emphasizes the establishment of green shipping corridors in the Nordics, using insights from ten technical deliverables and three green corridor pilot studies. In Project 1, we focus on the implementation and realization of GSCs in the Nordic region.

Objective:

Support progress towards final investment decisions (FID) and/or address remaining barriers to the uptake of alternative fuels for corridors that have already reached FID, to enable the establishment of green shipping corridors in the Nordic region.

Key actions:

• Identification of promising Nordic Green Shipping Corridors
  • Support with e.g. technical & safety analysis, assessment of logistical and organizational barriers
  • Update & expand Funding Opportunity Database (FOD-GSC)
