Date: 10th of April, 09:00-10:30 (CET)
Location: Teams
On Thursday 10th of April 2025 the Nordic Roadmap project organized a webinar, with support from the Norwegian Green Shipping program, on the green shipping corridor pilot studies and public funding opportunities. The topics for the webinar will be the results from the three pilot studies. In addition we will also present the key takeaways from the workshop on addressing the cost gap for green shipping corridor that was held 6th of March at DNV’s headquarters.
The pilots demonstrated that there are key barriers and challenges to overcome for realization of the potential green shipping corridors, and cost is expected to be the most important. This webinar therefore also provided insight on public funding opportunities for Nordic green shipping corridors.
The findings from the pilot studies have been used as input when developing the “Fuel Transition Roadmap for Nordic Shipping”, delivered to the Nordic ministers in December 2024.
Implementation of the concrete actions in the Roadmap will help overcome the key barriers, as well as lead to realization of the first Nordic corridors, with uptake of zero-emission fuels.
